August Certification Updates

The Certification Committee has been busy over the last months and were able to finalize some exciting items that they would like to share with you.
  • Credential Maintenance is a critical part of the Certification process. It ensures that the Certified Petroleum Data Analyst (CPDA) competencies stay relevant and up-to-date, demonstrates learning and engagement activities, and validates growth as a practitioner. To support these regular reporting activities of CPDAs, an enhanced electronic tracking form has been developed by a practicing CPDA, with additional testing by others in the community. On behalf of PPDM and the Certification Committee, we would like to express a large Thank You to Jennifer Weir for initiating and driving this effort to make everyone’s data capture and storage of their CPDA Credential Maintenance more positive.
  • The Certification website has been updated to provide additional navigation and Enhanced Resources to support both the emerging CPDA’s and our longstanding CPDA community.
  • As you begin to think about your next professional development steps and do some forward planning, we encourage you to consider about the upcoming CPDA Exam sitting. We recommend that you get your application in well before the deadline of September 23rd for the November 4th exam sitting. This will give you lots of time to review the competencies between your beach reads.
